View Full Version : Can't watch movies on my TV any more

I have an nVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX 400 and in my system.
I recently put a new 17' LCD monitor on the system and removed my 17' Mitsubishi Diamond scan monitor.

Since doing that I can no longer watch Mpeg, AVI, Quicktime or any movie file on my TV.

I just get a pink or purplish box where the movie would be playing.

I can see the desktop just fine.

If I choose the standard "Extend My Desktop" in the Display Properties and move the Media player over to the extended desktop the movie plays just fine, but when I go into the nView Desktop Manager and enable nView and then set the Display adapter to clone or span horizontally or vertically, that is when I lose the movie image.

I have tried the original drivers that I have on my CD (2.7.4.2 Driver Date 02/01/2002) and the current drivers off of your website (66.93_win2kxp_english.exe File version 2.11.15.0 Date Created 1/30/2005 8:41 PM) and have the same results with both.

This has only happened since installing the LCD monitor, I have not tried the Diamond scan back on the system, because it no longer works.

Any suggestions on why this may be happening and what I can do to fix it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Steve.
