So. Are we still expecting to see something out of this? Quickly running out of year for NV to make even a token showing of the flag for GFX this year.

I was also hoping but seems like everyone is keeping quiet in the nv30 issue all except Anand at anadtech, ok he doesn't directly hint at it but he says he has been busy.....so u can speculate busy with a nv30 ? :) man i hate water tight NDA's :) poor webmaster can't even hint even if they have nv30s :D

Us waiting for eagerly for reviews of new 3d cards always suffer. Paper launch...slavitingwith expectations of the card (which you will probably not be able to afford)...then waiting for a review...start the flame wars(my chipset is BIGGEr than yours!! type thing)...then wait anotehr 6 months for another 3dcard chipset paper launch to start the whole cycle again. Bad NDAs ...!!! :)

Damn guys, 25fps in Britain. My former Voodoo 3 and P3 800Mhz could do better than that.

Then again when did the game run fast for non-voodoo users?
RG was using a Voodoo 5 with a P3 600MHz and 512MB SDRAM and was getting great performance.
Back when the U9 forums where active this was posted.
I remember reading about CPUs like that with 3dfx cards getting into the 30-40 fps easy with little to no tweaking in Britania.

My TNT 1 with a P2 450MHz could barely do 5fps without patching the game. LMFAO!!!

Hehe, yeah. Yet another reason to get a Voodoo 5 6000! :)
But the price tag is just too terrifying...

Also, remember that his settings with a P3 600Mhz probably were a LOT lower than what we're trying to use. And he probably wasn't using FSAA. And certainly not Aniso :D

Don't you think if we were getting close to something, that our friends in China and/or Russia would have started leaking by now? They are usually pretty reliable indicators on such things.

Not if Anand was able to get an exclusivity for the GeForce FX first review. Woah, I wonder how much he'd have to pay for that :D
But anyway, review samples are going to be very limited at first. So why would they give them to China/Russia? After all, the limited avaibility is expected to mean there'll be no GeForce FX outside of the US for a few weeks.

Possibly. I'm just going on what we've seen before in these situations, and enuf times to call it a pattern. Aren't the boards usually manufactured in the east? I've always thot that was why the early leaks came from there, less so from reviewers boards getting out. . .

well it's pretty clear that today is not the day we are getting an official unveiling of NV30 complete with benchmarks. well, there's always hope for next week, though that seems doubtful at best. impossible at worst.
