Might be the same, but at least now they can be downloaded straight from nVidia... some people find peace-of-mind in getting them straight from the source versus through a leak. ;)

Temperature Settings

Temperature Level (GPU Core Temperature)

Displays the current temperature of the selected NVIDIA GPU in your system.

Core Slowdown Threshold

Enter the value at which you want the NVIDIA GPU to slow itself down to prevent
overheating.

When this value matches the GPU core temperature value, a dialog box
automatically appears warning of the condition and the actions that have been taken
to prevent possible overheating and damage to any particular GPU(s) in your system.

Note: The recommended value for this setting is the default that is preset. Any
changes to this value should be made with extreme caution.

Has this been there before??? I've never been able to change the core threshold before.

Don't see anything about temp issues yet... still reading the PDF's....

It's in the temperature settings tab of the driver. You can't change the core threshold though. Might be able to with a registry tweak.

I've seen the settings page but I never was able to change the settings. hmmmm

I guess I'll wait till I get home to try them and see iof the temp issue is still there.

These drivers solve most of my issues, but two new issues have come up with this driver rev. There is noticable banding in Windows 2d and also I could not OC these drivers at all. I am talking about not even 1 mhz. I couldn't even downclock them. Listen whoever made the 71.84 should get with whoever made the 67.77's and collaborate and make a new set with all of the good stuff from both and none of the bad. That would make sense right?

Are they the same as the older 71.84 beta? Seems they have more things added than before. So I guess I'm asking then, do they still have the stutter and changing/corrupt texture problems in UT2004 and other D3D games? If so then I'll pass.

I did not go into that much testing with them. All I know is that Windows looked ugly and I could not get my clocks back up to where I like them. That was enough for me.

Did you check to make sure it didn't just set the color to 8-bit or 16-bit?

indeed, so much better when they are from nvidia, not some bloated multilanguage package from random companies.

Not a single mention of the temperature increases people with 6800GT AGP's are getting, unless of course its fixed in this release.

Has anyone with a GT run them yet????
