yeah i got mine at a good time... kinda, i sort of with i would have waited for pci-e cards to come out (like now is a good time to buy i guess) but then i would have missed out on like 5months without a 6800 and that makes me not be so sad, i guess ill stay like this for a while cause ill have to upgrade my mb + video card next time

hmm... so, probably at least 1 videocard generation later and a new chipset probably (nf5?) ^^ :)

uhh btw on topic
did you try pricewatch?

The K8n3's are backordered. They have been for a few weeks.

If you want a really good board you can actually have :) I heard the Epox NF3 is an exellent board, my buddy has one and it OC'd like crazy :D

i would have went pci-e but got a agp video card for free, so that ended that.

yea sucks they are backordered, any idea when some new ones will be shipped out jak?

ill check out the epox board.
newegg has a refirbished k8n neo2, but never bought a refirbished product so i dunno about that. im thinking about it, i dont need manuals or cables and it would save money but ill see.

If you don't mind buying from Canada, this place has MANY in stock:
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=12534&vpn=MS-7025-010&manufacture=MicroStar

This is like the Newegg of Canada, I ordered all my stuff from here, I can honestly say it was the easiest purchase of my life.

I might of jumped the gun on this, but i noticed frozen cpu had 1 xp-90 in stock so i kinda jumped on it.(their xp-90 is like 10 bucks cheaper than neweggs) I also got some acessories for a little lian-li mod i have planned, and some arctic silver 5 with it. came out to be 62 bucks.

http://img176.exs.cx/img176/2257/order1kc.gif

so that leaves me with like 400 even for the cpu and mobo. :(
i think i just might go for the refurbed mobo and a OEM 3500 winny. anybody have any horror stories about buying refurbed stuff to maybe change my mind? :p

Maybe you should just buy a different motherboard instead. Why do you want the K8N Neo2? I'd much rather get a 3200+ winchester and an Abit AV8 3rd-Eye ANY day.

Cuz its VIA :p

Personally, I would get the Epox, but the MSI is an awesome board also.

Have no clue when new MSI K8N's are coming... longest backorder I've seen in a while..heh

OMG, we have PLENTY in Canada, because every other person on the street is an Intel fanboy who buys Dell merchandise like there's no tomorrow.
www.ncix.com - this place must have trucks full lol

i just might keith, but ill have to see as it might be a little tight for my pocket :x

155.88 usd + 16.33 shipping = 172.21 (a bit much more than i want to pay for this mobo)
newegg has the OEM cpu for 269.00

all that together is about 441.21..about 40 bucks more than i currently have :(
would have more but i dished out 270 for the psp, and i cant pass that up. :p

ill see what pops up, but thanks again for the help guys.

im kinda picky on the mobo, call me a dumbass, its just the neo2 seems like a excellent mobo performance wise, and the stuff is in all the right places for this small mod i want to do on my case. the black board would also match perfect. like i said, call me a picky dumbass lol, but i pretty much made my mind up with this one. :(

If you truly are picky about the board, do not buy refurbished. I don't care if it's a sweet board.

Buy a new one, whatever you do. If you absolutely cannot get the MSI, I'd snag the Epox.

im pretty stuck on this board :p.

but i think i may have found something...

***Ship Date 3/11/2005***
would this possibly mean that stores will be restocking this board on the 10th or 11th?

It could mean that. But I've been completely soured on ETAs lately, first trying to get an X800 Phantom Edition, then they cancelled production of Samsung 710Ts the day after I ordered it lol. A quick search on ebay shows 3 neo2s available, I would try that.

If you want a used yet fully functional MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum I will send you mine Bad_Boy.
I am still using my SATA cables and rounded cables from the board. So you would need those cables and ones to connect your DVD/CD, Floppy and whatever else you have.

If you send me about 20 bucks over to my Paypal I would be happy to box it up and ship it to you. I still have the manual CDS etc. Up to you. It's in my old case not being used since I sold off my AGP Ultra.

Actually I am not interested in selling it per se. I just want 20 bucks to cover shipping/time. You seem like you really desperately want that board and I am not using it, or AGP anymore for that matter, so you are welcome to it.

BTW you have PM's blocked BB< or I'd reply :p
