both BARs retiring. somehow, i don't seem too broken up that the best driver in F1 (never to win a race) did not finish. Sato is a DNF. it's the curse of JV.

can the FIA be that stupid (rhetorical question, since the events of this race proved that they are)? if there is a loophole as obvious as this one, expect only 8 cars finishing the next race, with the rest "retiring" with phantom engine problems, to take advantage of having a fresh engine for the next race. i suspect that this is what Schumacher did when he entered the pits early. the collission with Heidfeld knocked him further back, and he wasn't likely to get any points, so why not pit? it's good strategy, and FIA is criminally naive or stupid for thinking that teams won't do whatever they can to get an edge, even if it involves exploiting rules to their benefit. what a farce.

good for DC re his comments on the aggregate qualy system. it benefits the lucky and fortuitous. the only way agg qualy can work is if the conditions are the same for each driver, but that can never happen, ie, weather is unpredictable and changes, and even the track changes, as more rubber is put on the pavement, etc. this system should be changed.

V8's for next years engines. The cars are too fast. Formula 1 is turning me off with its crap politics :(

Probably. The mans an idiot and he just meddles. No wonder the team bosses want to get rid of him
