I like the map kinda been addicted to it last few days, but man you'd think when they intro a new map they would try hard to balance it, this seems to be a real T favoured map. My scores always much higher playing T. The other problem with this map is for new players who don't buy their equipment fast with binds, the T's can kill CT's in their spawn! wtf is up with that...

When T's all have autosnipers the CT's feel trapped. You go left past the gate, whap ur dead, you go right past the crates, whap ur dead. Don't even try going over the car, whap whap whap your very dead... I like the map but what would really help it is if they opened up that underneath canal you see to the right of the T's that let the cts pop up behind the shack somewhere... I keep telling my team throw smokes to get past awps and auto's but shiet even then it's tough...

Overall good map just very unbalanced toward T's even more so that assault... sure if you have a poor T team and a good T team you can do ok, but equal players on both and T's win 8/10 times me think...

Just a late week ramble...

am still getting used to it but its decent..

auto-snipers are the noobest guns ever and should be banned...

as a CT with an awp I can generally hold my own or one side of the compound but auto-snipers have gotta go...

Its pretty nice, bit harder on CT usually but it depends on the teams aswell..
The server I frequent has disallowed AWP and Autosnipers, which I expect makes a world of difference on that map..
You get maybe 1 or 2 Ts using scout per round, and you got a better chance of surviving that then a AWP shot hehe..

Most maps are harder on the attacking team anyhow, some worse then others.

Dust is the worst fricken map ever.... you get in a game with 15 vs 15 and very often the map turns into a stalemate bottleneck match... if T's refuse to rush then cts get gangbanged coming out of hall, if whole T team is camping.... most boring map ever... 2 choke points wtf is up with that...

maps like Dust2 or inferno are nice cause this never happens, multiple ways to multiple targets...

I hate both dust maps, they are too goddamned overplayed. This is one of the reasons I don't like counterstrike anymore, people just play nothing but dust. They may as well call the game dust strike.

I'm a big fan of it. I finally started playing CS:S again and I played this map exclusively today. It was great fun, and it's pretty.

I tend to like cs_italy the most. I miss cs_docks and cs_seige.

I think the Steam Update that came out today said that they're working on cs_docks. They put a sketch of it in the update, too. Looks like a sweet map, actually.

Really? That map was completely abandoned way back in the early beta days of counterstrike. That would be cool if they bring it back.

Another classic I miss was cs_backalley (I am sure most of you are familiar with that one.) and cs_desert (they discontinued cs_desert at around beta 3)

I love this map. I have rarely seen a case where there has been one team dominating, and it seems nicely balanced. It's a sniper heaven though and Autosnipers NEED to be disabled ar the level is frustrating as hell.

WRT to the whole dust thing, to make matters worse, there is now a de_dust3 map. I think it is high time that we reskin all of the maps to be an arab desert landscape and then just give them de_dustX names, and then we can refer to different maps by just a number.

tons of dust maps around, atleast for old CS..
remember the de_dusk maps, modded dust, pretty neat.

Yeah, thats how I knew about it. I think it is a good map, but enough with the dust landscape already.
