Hello everybody,

i recently formated my HD and am now able to use the S.M.A.R.T. function thats built-in in Speedfan.
I'm kinda worried cause my "Fitness" is only 48%. I received my 2 Seagate SATA HDs only a couple of months ago.

What does the "fitness" tell me about my harddrives?

If that matterS: i run a RAID 0 (Striping) system.

Thanks in advance for your answers

I have the same problem with my rather new Seagate, its fitness is 63% while my older WD drives fitness is around 85%.

what is the fitness?

I think its the estimated overall condition of the drive. If its acurate, it should give an idea of how stable the drive is and whether it needs attention and/or replacement. I myself do not pay too much attention to it.

Where do you find this information?

Speedfan can grab the info from your S.M.A.R.T. enabled HD
