Hi

I'd like to get VGA silencers for my XFX 6600GTs (555/1130) as ive overclocked em and there running a little hot for my likings so could anyone recommend me any as some ive looked at only say it fits on 6800 but nothing about 6600 ?

cheers

The NV5s do not work with the 6600 cards. Arctic Cooling is coming out with a new silencer just for the 6600s very soon. There is another 3rd party manufacturer that is making good cooling for the 6600GT but the name escapes me. Do a search for it, he posted on this forum awhile ago.

I thought the NV Silencer 6 was already out. It's supposed to support 6600 and 6200's.

It is, sort of, I've not seen it in stock anywhere. 3DCOOL.com is one of the few places that I've even seen listing it: http://www.3dcool.com/Details.asp?cid=288&id=1352

I have the Zalman...VERY easy to put on...

take off the current HSF, screw in the "nipples" (thats wat the instructions call them), screw on the back bar, then screw on the HSF...

its easier to put on then the NV5, got one of those...i have an Alabtron 6800GT...the RAM on my Card are higher then normal..and the NV5 wouldn't contact with the core...first time i booted the temp was around 100C!

but yeah, the Zalman is alot easier to put on IMO, and also takes up less space then the NV5...
