 After 2 days with no computer its finally working with a new watercooling system but dont know about the temps of it, right now my CPU is at 40c idle under the bios and my 6800 GT is at 58c idle and 73c under load compared to my fan with a 53c load. Whats the deal did I not install my Danger Den waterblock good, or like I heard the Silver Thermal 5 takes time to set in? some help would be good. :)

edit new temps are 67c load and 53c idle after messing with the heatsink.

Sounds like you dont quite have the block set correctly. That's the first thing I'd check.

ok I redid my 6800 the first time thinking well I must of put on to much AS5 and then tryed to get my computer to boot for the next 30min, finally found out that it wasnet in all the way in the AGP slot :bleh: then I got a temp of about 95c  and quicly shut down. The third time around I put on more of it and now im getting a idle of about the same 53c but a load of 58c better but still bad.

Which watercooling are you using? Is the resovior filled? Is the system properly bled?

im using a Black Ice XtremeIII Radiator yes the resovior is filled almost to its max. The system goes like this. from the top reservoir down to the radiator then to the pump and then the nv68 then the cpu and then to the chipset. I noticed that when I added more AS5 to the 6800 it got cooler, maybe I didnít put enough on because the water is at 26c?

also maby my stealth fans are not pushing enough air??

did you make sure there are no air bubbles?

All the air bubbles are out still no change in temp with the cpu, I now know too that my nv68 is at the right temp of 53c which should improve once the silver wares in. Im about ready to redo my cpu,

I im using Antec's silver 5 compound do you know if it sucks?

Which driver version are you using? Sounds like the temp bug in 71.84, 75.90 etc.

I'm guessing that you were OC'd when you took the air cooled temp readings (cancelling out the temp bug) And when you installed the water cooling your temps were running high because you were running at stock speeds (under 400). I'm just guessing because of the 10c difference when you OC'd.

Yeah I think im having more of a problem with my P4 than with the 6800 even though I droped the overclock and it went slowly so it might be a software error with nvidias lates beta from there site.

Update on whatís going on need HELP with anyone who has a watercooling system, I just got some distilled water and well it didnít do a thing about my temps, all the bubbles are out, I donít know whatís up but my p4 is still at 40c, im also have my big loud fan blowing at the rad sill no temp drop with the cpu, I just updated the bios and replied the Formula 5 silver from Antec still nothing.

Any thing that I need to put in the water to make this thing work? or go buy a different brand of Silver please reply with any suggestions would help... :(

Also can a pump pump too fast that it cant trasfer heat well?

What kind of P4 do u have?
If it's a Prescott "E" a 40 idle
is not that bad.
These 478 pin P4e chips are very hard to cool down.
