Interesting discovery I made today. The MSI, DFI, Gigabyte will not work with dual video cards and VGA silencers, the PCIe connectors are too close. It appears that the A8N-SLI is the only motherboard with the connectors spaced out more. Oh well, I guess I will just have to do with the stock heatsinks...

I wondered about this from seeing pictures
of these boards.
Now we know 4 sure. :)

Yep I noticed this when searching for the answer.

You can install the Zalmans, but I wanted the heat to be exhausted.

And this guy has the case, mobo, and heat sink that I want :)

Unfortunately this shows that with an XP-120 you don't even have the 4x slot free :( No PPU for me....

EDIT: Hmm looks like this shot might prove otherwise:

Would be a tight fit but.. not sure if I like that at all.

Blah, why did such a sucky overclocking board have to have the best layout!?

I dunno :( I think the PPU will fit, but it will be really close

My Rig makes me happy aside from the mobo causing me memory stability issues.

What is the long term benefit of those silencers? Can you overclock more? When i get my ultra, I am keeping the standard heatsink cuz i like the look

Im not an overclocker but for me the main reason is how quiet the NV5 is comparedd to the standared heat sink.

Here are the main advantages:

Quiter
Lower Temps
Vents hot air out of case (cooler case temps)
