View Full Version : Whats the difference between these 2 LCDs?

Im seriously considering getting a Sony XBrite 19" LCD for gaming. I was at Sony Style and they have XBrites with 12ms response time. I noticed they had 2 with similar specs but different stands. So do you see any difference between these 2 LCDs other than the shell they are in? If not why would they offer them like this? The second one looks like it could easily break.

I tried a Sony LCD a while back. Actually, it was the first link you posted. I found it to be wholly inadequate for how I use my PC. The text/font aliasing was horrible and it was not very good for gaming. I would highly suggest going with Samsung or Viewsonic if you want to buy an LCD and are not a professional designer.

Click on the "Specifications" tab and you'll see the differences. The most notable are that the second one has a better luminance and contrast ratio but not as much of a tilt range as the first.

I did click on the specs and was just wanted a second opinion to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

However the more I search for reviews online the more I notice that this may not be the best LCD for gaming.
