In Picasa2 you have this option to automatically touch up a photo. However iPhoto does a much better job

I don't have the "EXACT" same picture, but I have two pictures that are literally about 10 seconds apart from each other. First one is the touched up one, second is unmodified.

All I did was open up the picture and hit the magic wand button, voila, much brighter/sharper, better color, and easier to make out the contents of the picture.

Easy shtuff.

ctrl-shift B & ctrl-shift L... in photoshop :)

yeah, but iPhoto doesn't cost fricken $500.00

Although, Photoshop CS is really nice on OSX.

iPhoto is a great program. And I love the fact that I didn't need to install 2 CDs worth of drivers and software to interop with my Canon digital camera that I needed for the PC.

No, but a Mac Mini to run iPhoto sure does. ;)
