ponders some way to get these cards...
Uhh, rollo, I want those... but lemme figure out how im gonna do this... I'll keep in touch most definitely...
Yikes! Sorry to induce the stress Rage!
They're yours if you want'em, break out that plastic and float the debt a month. ;)
Haha, when I first saw this thread I thought "man, RageJG is going to go crazy over this deal" :D
Really tempted too...but I think I'll try to hold out for a 6800gt. VERY nice deal on a 256meg 6800NU though, that's the best price you'll find anywhere. Are they in full retail packaging or OEM cards?
umm, i cannot do that, though i would if I could.. umm, my life's a bit upside down at the moment.. uh, like I said, I'll keep in touch, and if somebody else can float the cash to you quicker, then that's just the way it is... :p

Retail packaging minus software. (I'm using it from one set, and gave the other set away)

Sounds good Rage- if it means anything to you, I'd rather sell to a fellow 5800U devotee than anyone else! ;)
Got pics?
Sure, PM me your email and I'll send you some.

you've earned it, I'd say
The more I think about this...the more tempting it is. Gah, urge to spend money...rising...rising. OK, hypothetical question: if I decided I did want these but would need to transfer the rest of my funds into the Paypal account for payment, would you hold them for a few days while the money is transfered? Not that I'm saying I'll buy them yet, just asking so I can weigh my options.

I'd do this if you PayPal me $50 as a non refundable deposit to show validity of intent.
(i.e. I don't want to yank them off the market for 2-3 days from tomorrow [1st work day] and then have you say "Sorry I changed my mind" and have to relist)
No offense intended, in general I just feel online trading should work "immediate pay, immediate insured ship with tracking, guaranteed as advertised".
I definitely can't amass an extra chunk of money at the moment, and wouldnt be able to get an SLI mobo fast enough. I'm gonna have to pass. :(
GREAT deal, though.

I'd love to hold them for any of you nVnews guys, but to do so puts me at risk of depreciation. (i.e. MSRP could drop $50 tomorrow, then my cards would be overpriced)
The only things I've ever learned about video cards:
a. You can't "buy for future games"
b. pricing is volatile, and value sometimes drops fast
