i currently have a AGP 6600GT bios version 5.43.02.46 CC

i seen some people on here talking about updating there 6 series bios whats the purpose of this and where can new ones be found?

You only need to update your BIOS if your card runs unstable (not overclocked or anything) and changing drivers doesn't help at all.
If your card runs, an update could only make it worse.

Stability isn't the only reason, more if there's a non-driver related constant bug. So... for instance, there have been 3 BIOS updates for my 6800, and now it's perfect... problems went as follows:

F1: Only LE pipe configuration unlocked.
F2: Screen refresh rates not properly detected.
F3: No colour output to composite.
F4: Perfect!

But yeah, don't go updating the BIOS if there's nothing wrong. You're taking unnecessary risks if you do.
