I am considering on getting the Hyundai L90D+ for its 8ms response time or the Dell 1905FP (20ms response time). I want to do some gaming on it, so the hyundai looks much better?

Hyundai. Trust me, I've tried gaming on a 20+ms monitors, you don't wanna do it.

anandtech had a very positive review on the 1905FP, I'd take the Dell cause it's cheaper, with DVI u shouldn't notice much problem when gaming.

Ew, 20ms response time. I think it's OBVIOUS that the Hyundai is the better choice.

Even on DVI... 20ms is too much ghosting for my tastes

I definitely would agree that the lower response time the better. That said I did game on a Dell 2000FP for over a year and the 25ms response time did not effect my scores in FPS at all. There was some motion blur but it never caused eyestrain nor did it really bother me that much. The only time it was even noticeable was if you faced a wall and then strafed back and forth.

zoomy942, why the BenQ? Lower price?

no totally the lower price.

1. when i look at the specs, i am just a little wary of 700:1 contrast ratio. i know they exist, but thats kind of a low price for that.
2. in the tons of user reviews on the BenQ, there were no dead pixels. that was the biggest selling point. i didnt want a 19" flat panel with dead pixels, and the pther monitors had a few reviews (but a small number) with dead pixels.
3. i had a hitachi with a 16ms, and i was great, and i have seen 12 and 8, and it didnt grab me enough to spend the extra cash. anything below 16 is good. and this monitor averages about 12 (since the response time is a rise/fall average)
