I am trying to make the quadro 4400 PCI Express
version work on my machine but have no luck yet.
I am using Mandrake 10.2Beta, and it does not
recognise this card. My machine hangs when I
run startx (I could make it work with an earlier
version of the driver, but 7167 never worked).
(It used to work with NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1[1].0-7162-pkg2.run on a suse)
Of course both Mandrake and suse do
not have a clue of having a quadro inside the machine.

I have a quadro from pny. Any suggestions on
how to make this card work on mandrake 10.2.
Has anyone else tried it? My kernel is 2.6.11.5.

If anyone would like to look at my log files,
I would be more than happy to send them to you.

Thanks,

How do you like the card? anyways, have you tried editing the proper video files in /ETC? I have RHEL WS v.4 and am running a Quadro FX 3400. When i get home i will look at the lines in my video config files and let you know exactly what needs to happen. its been a while since i loaded the driver (a week maybe) but it worked perfectly for me.

I ran it for a month on some version (I think 7162)
and it worked pretty well. I can visualize large
data sets which previously would only crawl on my
cards. But when I wanted to upgrade to the new
driver and the latest kernel (2.6.11.xx), hell broke...
