I recommened Gainward for O/C or even without it . i didnt try it myself but read very good input & reviews about that brand .

MSI is good as well . i did overclock my previous MSI 6800GT to Ultra speed with full stability .

Gainward is the best, so get em if you can find em. Other than that, I'd recommend BFG or eVGA whichever you can find cheapest.

This question gets asked all the time. In my opinion, the only reason you would buy something other than the cheapest of the exact model you want, is to get bundled software, or better service/support with the product. The cooling, power and DAC standards set by nVidia are quite adequate.

Some manufacturers offer longer warranty, Lifetime, 3 Years etc

BFG has a lifetime warranty and 24 hour tech support (so far havent utilized either)

I wouldn't get a gainward, simply because they are going down and if you have a warranty issue you could have problems. They were great cards though.

I would recommend BFG or eVGA.

BFG . Life time warranty. Tireless Customer Reps. Great JOb. BFG. Fast RMA. I suggest go with them.

Any that are close to reference design. Just replace the HSF with a Zalman VF-700.

If your lucky and can still find one (and good luck at it).. get the Gainward "Golden Sample" 6800GT. Its stock OC'ed to ultra and can go much higher. I love mine... glad I got it when I did. :) Sad to see gainward go... they made some of the best nvidia cards of all time. ;)

Actually, BFG warrants it's graphics cards for as long as you own it.

LeadTecBaby.
My PCI-Express 6800 Gt's clock cool and stable at 440-1.28
They are hugh though.Don't think they will fit any board but Asus-A8N Deluxe. Best cooler-card on the market I say.
The price has come down $30.00 since I bought mine.

IS Gainward really goin.. from wot ive read in the inquirer and etc.. is that the entire Gainward is gonna remain the same, and its just gonna market UNDER the name PALIT so that the nvestments/profits are controlled by Palit's marketing guyz.

No dude, lifetime warranty = 3 years (i.e.. products life in the market, coz after 3yrs the card is replaced by the NEWER card then). U can confirm it from anywhere!

That is the thing u underestimate how those lifetime warranty goes. The company like bfg will provide newer and better product if they dun have the same product in stock. That is why we all heard ppl saying that BFG replaced a 6800Gt for 5800, Bfg Replaced a 6600Gt for ti4200. This is all about reputation.

Thats the thing, even ive read ASUS replacing 5600Ultra for ti4200 last year.
and Inno3d replacing a FX 5900 with FX 5950.

This thing adopted by most of the manufacturers providing 1yr or 2yrs or 3yrs warranty. if they do not have the replacable product they have to replace the product with an equivalently priced product.

But that wasnt my point, wat i meant was, wen these companies claim "Life time warranty" it actually means 3years. ive read this in almost all reviews of BFG cards.

And As for the Gigabyte card, i was most impressed by it before my Leadtek, but the thing is, The BACK of the Card, it will definitely COLLIDE with the northbridge of most of the motherboards out there. Not to mention, there were many Gigabyte cards running at above 90 - 100*c. and forums were flooded with posts how to solve the problem.
