View Full Version : ti4200 128mb
Hi, can anyone tell me the avg score (around) for a ti4200 128mb paired with a 900mhz athlon + 512mb ram. Thanks.

Average score for what?

Umm, that's a good one. Hmm, I used to get 9900 or so with a Ti4600 paired with a AthlonXP 1800+. So I would say probably around the 6000-7000 range? Maybe a bit lower. Your CPU is limiting you for sure. Or I could be completely wrong, as I am just speculating. What is the score you get? You could also search the futuremark 3dmark2001 score database. You can search by system setup. So it will find computers with the same video card or processor and show you the scores.

Should be closer to 7,000. My Athlon 850/GeForce3 would score right around 6,100-6,300. It's going to depend more on the CPU/FSB than the video card, though.
hmm mine is scoring 5548 @ 305/530 (quality mode). i feel that it's kind of low. vsync is off, agp 4x, det 71.84, dx 9.0c. any suggestions? my athlon is speed/fsb 900mhz/100mhz.

Thats sort of odd, I got nearly 12,000 with an 1800+ and a 4400 overclocked to 4600 speed
EDIT: BTW, I was commenting on everyone else's scores. Yours seems fine for a 900Mhz CPU.
but saturn's hit 6k on a g3... =\

the ti4200 drivers (4x.xx) did have optimizations for 3dmark01... that could explain.

Hmm... you might want to try some 4x.xx or 5x.xx series drivers. Also, its possible that with CPUs that are in that range (fairly slow for the video card) the scores are less consistant. Anything running in the background could offset scores quite a bit on a 900Mhz CPU.
Another thing to think about, I had higher 2001 scores in Windows 98SE than I did in XP.

Hehe, that's kinda funny because my scores came while running Windows 2000. My scores in 98SE were around 5,400. This was while running the 2x.xx detonator drivers.
hmm i guess i should give older drivers a try.

no, you should stop playing benchmarks. Futuremark is teh 3v1l.
haha i know, but it still is a good estimate on how other games will be.

No it's not. Only games are a good estimation of what games will be.

Hm.. no more than 5000.(@1024x768x32 default settings). My guess would be between 3500-4000.
EDIT: Oups :o . It seems you get a little bit more than 5000 but you have overclocked the card.

Yes for sure. But on second thought such a score is impossible without tweaks(at drivers, or hardware) that compromise quality or stability. ;)
Just for the sake of truth, at what clock speeds(for CPU and GPU CORE/ MEM) have you got 9000 3dmarks01 and which driver version?
