And as volt said, yeah, why HardOCP? Sure, it's general hardware sites, but there are plenty of other general hardware sites. Anything that made you choose that one?

Thanks for the compliment of sorts Uttar....Unfortunately, this is legit...I'm just at a point where I'd like to cover more of the industry than we typically cover here at nV News...

Like I said on the front-page...I'm sure the other guys will pick up the slack and news will be posted per usual...

Although some people here have something against HardOCP...I have never had a problem with them and it was a site that I hit on a daily basis...

They cover an enormous range of products and have an incredible list of contacts...

In the end, Kyle and I just got along really well and seemed to want to head in the same direction...

I see. I guess it makes sense, always reporting news which all seem nearly the same probably isn't so exciting after a while if you become more interested in other things.

Some of your articles and to be more precise, your optimistic attitude in general was a major factor for me finally joining the forums. This is very sad for me, but there is also a good side. Really, the only two sites I mainly check for news and reviews are NV and [H]. So hopefully I'll still be gettin' my fill.

bah! I for one think that Pelly's switch to [H] will help both [H] and nV. There is nothing wrong with change(Hi, I'm republican:p), if you have something against [H]. well, maybe Pelly will serve as a vehicle to better cooperation and feelings between the two sites.;)

I never ever veer too far from my main (NV) forum... for reasons of a feel of stability that Mike obviously knows how to create (to my knowledge), a constant news/story flow, polite mods, and a generally even-tempered atmosphere. Um, there's like these other forums where the... um, mods are always mad and everybody's swearing and there's tons of crazy pic-sigs and flame wars and pissing contests and everything's off-topic...

Pelly, I think you were a major part of keepin tha feel.

Nah, it didn't sound much like that. But all posts pretty much contained a surprise of seeing Pelly go to [H] , so I suppose some would have found it more logical if he went to another general hardware site.
Sorry if my post sounded too much as if everyone hates [H] and thinks Pelly made a horrible choice. I didn't imply that too :)

As I stated in a previous post in this thread, I have no problems with the guys at HardOCP. As such, I have no problem posting a link to them when they have news that deserves attention. In short, my job is to post news and that is what I was doing. Taking a look over my posts, you can see that I linked just about everyone at one point or another and showed no favorites.

When speaking with Kyle, I told him there were only a small handful ( less than 5 ) of websites that I would consider leaving nV News for. Given that HardOCP was one of these select few, I jumped at Kyle's offer when it was presented. Hopefully, this clears up your confusion with the situation Solomon:

What is ironic is how you got to go there. Usually you're asked from someone on the staff.

I appreciate everyone's support and understanding of my decision. I thought of saying goodbye to everyone until I realized that I wasn't really going anywhere. You'll still find me in the forums and can check in on me over at HardOCP.
