If I owned this game I'd be rather pissed. Apparently this patch had been promised for a long time, but now it has been cancelled and no further updates will be provided. If I plunked down $50 for it like my roommate I'd be beyond livid right now.

Lawsuit anyone?

Vivendi is probably about same level as EA for suck-ness.

They should have stopped after T1 IMO.

mm, Tribes 2 was good.

What they shouldn't have done is close dynamix.

Oh how I'd wish for Tribes 4, even though some may say let the series die I've never seen so much potential in a game before. I love Tribes, Tribes 2 was also pretty good. T:V was meh.

Also the guy in charge of the patch basically said that all the patch was going to do was fix a few map holes and add punkbuster. It wasn't really an epic patch at all. Oh well T:V is dead perhaps it's time to move on but it's a great franchise

*hopes garagegames and/or dynamix reform to make T4* :(

It'd be nice, but it seems that corporate policy for Vivendi is not to do anything cool, innovative, or just generally "good".

They remind me of like Viacom and Star Trek "I don't go to bed until I've made some VERY bad decisions!!!"

Wow, that's increadibly agrivating. I was considering getting the game, but my god...they've cut off support for it? Yeesh, that's worse than what Capcom did with Steel Battalion: Line of Contact. Well, that sucks...guess the game just dropped really low on my purchase list since multiplayer will probably be screwed over after this. Now I regret paying for the retail version of HL2 even more, I bet if Vivendi had their way they wouldn't even be providing support for that game, either.

Oh, and VU's site is a little messed up right now, it's not displaying the page correctly. THIS is how it should look:

I hope Irrational makes an unsupported patch. They are very Community minded so theres always hope. I personally loved TV, It was as close to T1 then T2 ever was... just without all the great MP Modes.

You know now that I think of it...what the hell is up with these publishers dropping support on these games after they're released? First Activision with Vampire Bloodlines (which Troika went on to make their own self-funded patch for), now Vivendi with Tribes Vengance. Do these companies really not care about the game once it's pushed out the door? I can't imagine they could see it as a smart business decision, since it would just make your customers angry at you and sway potential future sales.
