I'm new in this forum and I know that many threads have discussed my problem but still I cannot solve it and it driving me nuts.
I recently bought a Gigabyte 6800gt graphic card, I installed 71.84 drivers which I downloaded from Nvidia site but I constantly get freezes in Far Cry and Need For Speed Underground 2 (which are the only games I tried). I've tried to run them on the poorest resolution and yet the freezes continue. I've tried to install several drivers such as 66.93, 67.66 and 71.24 but none of them fixed the problem.
I understand that this is a common problem and i'm not the only one who is having these annoying freezes.
I would appriciate any help.

My computer:
CPU: AMD64Bit 3500+
Motherboard: Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939
Graphic Card: Gigabyte 6800GT 256Mb DDR3 (Model: N68T256DH)
Memories: 2x512Mb PC3200 TwinMos
Hard Drive: Maxtor 160Gb 7200RPM SATA

I guess you've tried setting the 2D and 3D clocks the same, turning off fastwrites, running stock settings, etc.?

Mybe also try to monitor your temps with Rivatuner, it's possible your card is running too hot.
