Hi, can anyone reccomend a reasonable overclock setting for the BFG 6800 Ultra that will run fun without having to go with liquid cooling, just sticking with the stock fan. I used the coolbits reg file to unlock the built in nvidia overclocking feature. The stock speeds for the BFG Ultra OC is 425 Core Clock and 1.10 Memory Clock, when doing "Manual overclocking" on the Performance 3D then checking "Detect Optimal Frequences" it raises it to 439/112. I can set it higher as well and it tests fine as well. What would be a good setting that wont overheat with the stock fan and give stable performance? I'm running this on a p4 3.2e 800 fsp, 1 gig corsair xms CL2 memory. And lots of fans in the case.

well..don't worry about the heat....just overclock until you get unstable and back it down a bit....that's it...the ultra extreme runs at 450/1200 and is the exact same thing as the ultra..it is just clocked higher...so yeah..

That's kewl, so I set mine to 451mhz / 1.20ghz in the nvidia driver. I'll run a 3d mark to see what difference it's made over stock.

I think we need one of those pics for all the "What driver is the best?" threads :)
