I have an AGP 6800 GT that offers anti-aliasing between 0 and 16x. This card is on a Fedora Core 3 machine with a 64-bit AMD processor. I am using the 6629 driver.

I also have a PCI-E 6800 GTO. This card is on a Windows XP machine with a 32-bit Intel processor. I am using the 6687 driver. I am only able to select anti-aliasing between 0 and 8xS.

Is this a driver issue or a difference in the hardware?

Thanks in advance for any information...

You should be able to use 16xAA on the GTO through RivaTuner if you want.

There's no hardware difference between the two that would account for limitations of AA usage on the 6800 GTO. Besides, you'll never use 16xAA (it's extremely slow), so you shouldn't be bothered about it either way.
