Ok trying to isolate the problem.

If you have this issue, please post your config like so:

nForce2 (6.51 driver remix)
6800 GT AGP (stock clocks)
SoundStorm Audio (4.60 driver)
Fastwrites On

If you do not have the issue, please post your config as well for comparison purposes.

I've got sound popping not stuttering w/those drivers.

I have an nforce chipset rest is below. I've isolated the problem to the 76.41 driver :D . 71.84 Works fine other than a 3C rise in temp.

what drivers are you using, Nvidia or Realtek drivers ?

Realtek 3.70s ....

Get the odd tiny pop, but nothing major at all. Think thats more relating to these sound drivers though, never any stuttering though.

Using onboard SoundStorm audio.

No stuttering or popping (except occasionally in Half-Life2 which is notorious for stuttering).
