Are there any programs out there that can do a batch conversion of image files? I have a bunch of bitmaps that I'd like to convert to jpeg and don't want to have to convert them one at a time.

IrfanView will do it. (http://www.irfanview.com/) It's freeware. :)

Hey, there is another util that's pretty cool PSPhoto (http://tokyopia.com/tk/downloads/PSPhoto1.01.zip). You have to have the 2.0 (it's beta) version of the .NET framework (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=B7ADC595-717C-4EF7-817B-BDEFD6947019&displaylang=en) installed but the app is really cool for resizing images to fit in 480x272 (although you can't control which way it decides to orient the image, portait or landscape).

Only thing that worries me about .NET 2.0 is that it may mess with nHancer. :|

Yeah that is possible. PSPhoto is neat but nothing earth shattering. I'd say that you could hold off on it and try it out later (or on another machine, at work perhaps). :)

I tried it, and .NET 2.0 didn't appear to break nHancer so that's very good. The program is definitely primitive in its functionality but it does seem to work. I just wish there was a way to take an uploaded picture and make it into the background image instead of the colors that will change every month.

That's good to know. I'm sure that custom "wallpaper" support will come in a future firmware update or maybe some other update from PSP Connect (http://psp.connect.com/) or a third party.

There is a way to change the thumbnail images of your save games as well as the game backgrounds for the main UMD menu area. You just replace the PNG files with some of your own of equal dimensions that are found on the MemoryStick's save game folder.
