okay, this is just a little story about the dangers of static electricity.

i use my front usb all the time, god bless thumbdrives. well, since i live in idaho, the humidity is very very low here; therefore static electricy is a constant problem. i zapped my pc through my thumbdrive and now my front usb only works on the bottom usb port

just my little rant for the day. tune in tomorrow when i zap something else

hold tha phone. i just realized that i entered the bios with the "broken" usb port. why isnt windows letting it activate?

Driver problem maybe? Or maybe just part of that USB circuit got damaged and it happens to be a part that windows needs specifically?

this is an old thread.. but i thought i would throw out an update...

i took out my audigy 2 and everything is fine. it seems that it was making random usb ports stop working at random times
