What do you guys like about NVnews?

For me i like this site cause evrything is well organized. The pages and forums load fast. I made it my homepage cause i wanna know whats new evrytime i open up my browser:)

Have to say its the community, the guys on hear are great, especially the older members. I've been visiting since Mike's site was still Viper3D back in '99, heh. The main thing that kept me coming back is the amount of news that came outta this place. Sure I made the rounds w/ other other nv sites back in the day: PlanetRiva, Rivazone, d128.com and others, but Mike always had the latest info. After I got involved in the forums in Sept 00, I haven't been able to leave. There's nothing like the group of guys that I bs'd w/ back then, and I'm happy to see we've got some new fixtures today :cool:

No, not the Army, that will be in 4 or 5 years. I am going on a mission, I have been recruited by the NSA for my services and my expertise and highly sought after intelligence gathering techniques. I belong to Third Echelon now. I cannot specify the exact region I am going to, but be sure that I will be involved in southwest Asia. You probably won't hear about the things that I do(unless I screw up) but then again, I really suck at that type of stuff. :p I'd probably step on a snake or pull the grenade and throw the pin. LOL. I'd wish...

But all joking aside, I am going on a religious mission, 2 years long, hence the no computer rule, ;)

Back to topic, I'm one of the oldies as Juice and Serath, to name two of the oldest. As said above, this is like a family. Not a flame forum like others. I feel this is the light side, and other forums are the dark one. :cool:

Anyway, yeah, I dig that there's an even tone around here at all times. Much more than most forums. And as I've said before, there's no crazy attitude-full pic sigs, which IMO pollute too many sites... Oh yeah, this place is informative, too!! I've tried to become interested in other forums (Fr0zenFear) but can't seem to get my mind and mouse away from NV... only other place I'm @ frequently is the Gigabyte mobo section of AMDforums... and that's like once every 2 days...

This site is open for an average of 5-6 hrs a day during my work week. And jeez, if my ISP was up at home... I think my woman would leave me...

I've been reading for a long time, and just decided to start posting. I'm sorry you guys haven't known me for longer, but I have always been there. And if things stay the same (kick a$$ reviews, regularly updated news, freindly forums, and no beating on the noobs.);) then there's no reason to go anywhere else.

I was sad to see pelly go, but from what i've already seen saturnotaku and the baron are already pickin' up the slack. Good Job Guys.:)

The Site layout is very simple and looks great...The news is great...The reviews are great..The Forums are great...and the staff from the site to the forums are a bunch of great guys..what more could you ask for?

Everyone here is relatively friendly. The main page gets updated a lot, much more so than other hardware pages. The people who run the site care about it.

In some sites/forums, it seems hard to get along properly with elite-ists, extreme-anime-heads, d&d fans, and net-tech-junkies all at the same time... some places have so many inside jokes, you don't know which way's up... Seems everyone here keeps the tone neutral enuff for any noob to feel comfy here, and that's a good thing...

As a fairly frequent poster I found it cool the level of respect I was given from day 1 on every question/comment I had.
