I've been getting my Computer Gaming World mags for a while now....this month I didn't get mine. I called and they said I have 21 issues left and I should have gotten my Jan issue on the 1st or 2nd of this month. I really hate U.S. Mail.....either it wasn't sent to me or it's lost. Now I have to wait for 4 to 6 weeks for my Jan issue and worry if I'll get my Feb issue on the 2nd. This is why I prefer the newstand although it's 85% more expensive. Oh well....I got an issue extended for my troubles and I'm getting my issue resent. Stupid 2nd class mail....you get all kinds of junk from AOL and promotional crap but not what you pay 36 dollars for!!

It happens from time to time around here.

I've been getting Computer Gaming World for a while. After the subscription runs out, I won't renew. With the rise of the net, info can be gotten faster.

exactly...I also do this..not to mention if theres a mag that I find has an interesting article or want..I just go to Barnes and Nobles and pick up a copy...

Subcriptions suck IMO for the mere fact that you get your magazine late or all folded/soaked/ripped up..

Back in the day, I sent in the card to get a free issue of CGW. Then the issues just kept coming and coming and coming. I got that magazine for about 2 years and never paid one red cent. :D

I subscribe to Maximum PC now. I like their content and layout plus they have some nice blow out features.

The mag I really miss is PC Accelerator. That was by far the best computing magazine ever created. I still have several of my old back issues, which I will never throw away. I still have the one where they do a preview of the original NVIDIA GeForce. :D

PCXL was definitely the best computer magazine ever. And the funniest.
