Probably not until fall. Nvidia will launch the 512mb 6800 Ultras soon though.

why do u want a source?
Plenty of dropped hints in the rumour mill!!

And this dual core is ridiculous, the GPUs by MN or ATi are all modular and it's somewhat all about adding or reducing more quad block modules. They have deisgned GPUs recently to be modular.

And this should be in the hardware rumour mill?

hehe ... im happy with my setup. There is nothing I cant run. I always love how the hardware far out paces the software.... then everyone buys the hardware and when the software catches up... there is already new and better hardware out :p ;)

If I had the game and my monitors max was not 1280x1024 I would. :D I play everything to the max settings and go as high on the res as my monitor allows in all games. Im sure I would be able to run that game with HDR on 1280x1024 just fine. Maybe I'll borrow the game off my friend and try it :) No game yet has been unplayable for me  Although on occassion Doom 3 on Ultra high with 8xAA would dip in FPS when there was a bunch of deamons in the same spot as me. But it was still playable :p

8xAA??!! What kinda FPS??! I would imagine it would be around 15fps...

Depends on where I am on a map..... if its sort of closed in and not insanly open (like most of doom 3)... id say it averages about 35 FPS. If im in a huge open area with a lot of deamons then ya .. it will drop to about 15 FPS. But overall .. the game was / is extremely playable at those settings.

We have multi core gpus already :p

one core is a quad block..and u get the idea?
NV40 = 4 quad (some what 4 cores)

NV43=2 quad etc etc (some what 2 cores)

Announced? Lanuched? Released? If the last generation is anything to go by it could be September before G70/R5xx are retailing at sensible prices.

Just have another clue: G70 already ran @ CeBit 2005 aswell as the R520 did. And my source tells me that Nvidia this time waits for ATi to show his R520 so they can adjust the speed of the G70.

So the G70 wasn't just the 6800Ultra Go eh? hm, that's interesting, wonder what wavydave and b3d is gonna say.

No, it's defenitely not the 6800U Go. But what I'm not really sure about is what NV48 actually is...I'm just reading here that NV48 could be the refresh of the NV40 but that's almost impossible if you look in the driver *inf.
Man, this time I'm kind of very excited which one of the 2 Big will kick ass.

I'd say ATi in most Dx9.0 titles and Nvidia in OpenGL. Ati will have one advantage though, SM3.0 support, which will add a few fps :) (and yes I know nvidia already has it, but that's what gives ATi the advantage). But nvidia could probably change their hardware so that it will kick atis butt, now when they are rumoured to release after ATi

Basically says: ATI will show off AMR in Seattle during Winhec2005(??). They are saying SLI is old stuff for them and ATI's been doin it for yrs in E&S systems? up to 16 graphic cards already. They're focusing on Quality first with multi-rendering instead of speed (second).

I cannot wait to see what ATI and Nvidia
pull out there butts this go around.

I just hope nvidia can do a little better
with there single card performance this time.

ATI kicked that @ss with the PE.
Nvidia needs more overall clock speed
to run with ATI it seems.
It use to be the other way around. :p
