76.44 / 76.50 / 71.89, Has anyone have tested these yet with a 6800U SLI setup? I don't really want to try these, because if there like the 76.41's, windows LOCKS-UP, or the internet will lock up. This seems the be a 6800ULTRA SLI setup issue only (I think). I'm hoping someone has installed any of these drivers, and had good luck with SLI, and NO windows locking up.

I am using 76.50's and have had no problems with them locking up or doing anything strange. It is VERY important that my drivers work well cause I compete in a few online gaming league's and I can't have some faulty drivers crashing me. I would say go with the 76.50's.

No go for me. Same problems as the 76.44's. IE will not load, but lock up, after the drivers are installed and the system is powered down and restarted. They work initially after the restsrts from installing, but as soon as I power off and boot cold, IE will not load, it freezes. Only a driver uninstall will solve it.

Damn it... I hope this doesn't start happening to me. This is what all the other 7xxx series driver does for me, and I just started to think this was the driver to fix this. I installed then on my SLI/FX55 computer about an hour ago, did about 10-12 restarts already, and nothing yet (knock on wood), but time will tell.

Restarts didn't do it for me. Turn off your rig for about twenty minutes then turn it back on. That's when I had issues.

Did you try the 71.89's? If so, how were they?, and how is the 76.44? GOD, I don't understand why having SLI makes windows lock-up. I'm really getting pissed now.

Just tested the 71.89's and so far so good. Cold-boot tested SAT. Ran Project Snowblind with full screen effects enabled, passed that as well. So far, these are the best I've used with SLI.

The 71.89's worked well, very similar to the 71.84's but they don't work in SLI with Swat4... the 76.XX series do, but they have tons of problems :(

Hey jaKUp: Did you try the 71.89's with Aquamark3? With the 71.89 driver, aquamark3 locks up quickly too, just like windows. Did you have this problem by any chance?

I'm running 71.89 now and AM3 didn't lock up for me. These are slower than the 76.44 by about 2000 points, though.

I have not run aquamark yet... might give it a whirl later

The 76.50 locks up windows after a cold boot everytime. the only driver we can use as of now is the 71.84 nvidia's it looks like.

I agree with you newls1, tried most of the new beta drivers and 71.84 drivers seems to be the most stable one for me also. All the other drivers would lock up my system after doing a cold boot. I hope Nvidia team fix this asap so we can start using the newier drivers.

Same here. Only the 71.84's work, all the newer 75.xx and 76.xx series do the same for me after a cold boot.

I'm staying with the 71.84s for awhile also. They're working okay for me.
