All i can say is wow, im running this right now. If you dont know what it is, think an os that runs and boots of a signle dvd, no hdd installation required. Its so amazingly pimp, just wow.
I'll write a bit about this tomorrow or the day after when im done with these exams i got, but damn, im impressed. It got practially everything right straight of the bat, and is impressively fast.

is there any way you can save your settings? i almost never save anything on my linux partition and would love to save space by just running a live distro when i want to use linux but i still need to save my configuration and internet bookmark stuff.

y know, im not actually sure. I thought i saw another major distro that did basically the same thing but was configured to store everything on a usb flashdrive, if you did some looking you can find out. Think it was mandrake or fedora, not sure whcih one tho.

Don't mean to dig up an old thread but, "wow," is an understatement.
I think I finally found a distro that suits me. The live dvd found nearly everything. Didn't find my onboard sound for some reason, though it did find my Linksys 802.11b WiFi PCI card.
Trying to create some distance between my dependence on MS products. I think I've just taken a major step towards that happening. I'm currently posting here from the DVD... lol, I just think that's great. :D
I think it would be great if there was some kinda tutorial section or something like that if possible. I just saw the Solaris forum pop up and think it's great. Anyhow, thought I would share your enthusiasm there Rampant. :D
