Hi!

I've tried a lot of drivers for my 6800GT card. The latest driver was the 71.89, then 66,93 and also older one.
All games freeze or shut down after 10 minutes playing. WHich driver is the best one? The latest driver is 71.89, isn't it?

Thanks

Thank you! I will read through this thread, but anyway, which driver is the best for the GeForce 6800GT card?

Try the beta 76.41 driver. I was having problems with all of the others in some games and this one works perfectly for me. You should be able to find a link to it in the forceware drivers section of the forum.

Yeah use the current Official one. I don't have any problems with them.
Good place to start is, whats your load temp. Open the case as the card might be getting too HOT and then play the game. ALSO DO A FRESH INSTALL OF WINDOWS, incase you have remnants from previous card.

One important thing I'll urge you to do is read out your BIOS version number and your Brand of card. If you have an old BIOS, updating it to a new one could fix your problems.

FW( FAST WRITE is all good.) FW does heat up your card for a given clock. You can leave it enabled and with stock clock, it won't (SHOULDN'T) give you any problems. It does enhance your performance as well. It establishes a faster route bet. CPU and GPU.

I have mine overclocked to 391/1100 with FW enabled. And no problems but games will start to freeze if I overclock it to 400/1100 unless adequate cooling is provided then its fine.

So I'll start off with your BIOS. Flash to a newer BIOS if its available and see if your problems gone.

If all your games do the same thing with whatever driver set you use, I would seriously doubt that your problem is driver related. Sound more like a heat or not enough power problem. What power supply are you useing? Try to make sure that your useing a dedicated power dongle going to the Video card.
