I just bought a SHUTTLE AK31 and i was wondering what processor should get to use with it?

AthlonXP1600's & 1700's are available for a great deal at www.newegg.com ... around $50 or so... that's what everyone else around here would recommend.

If you have to have a processor RIGHT NOW FOR CHEAP, I could sell you my "extra" duron 600 (clocks to 900 easy) for like $17 if you gotta spend small amount...

Save $ on the vidcard purchase to get better cpu...

or...

Save $ on the cpu purchase to get a better vid-card... (ti4200)

No actually it is the KT266. It is not the KT266a.

Do you have version 1.x or 2.x of the AK31. I know that either one has the kt266 shipset. Version 3 however has the kt266a chipset.
