Ok I´m gonna take the jump to 64 bit computing, but on the cheaper side, tell me what do you think about this upgrade:
Mobo: Gigabyte K8NS-939 (no fancy extras only 2 SATA ports but very cheap) it costs 67€
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ s939 costs 133€
HSF: Zalman 7000BCu costs 45€
Total cost 245€ I can afford a little more and buy an AMD 64 3200+ that cost 164€
The rest is in my signature

I was going to buy the Athlon 3000 but I went ahead and bought the 3200 just for the overclocking abilities between the two. I recommend buying the 3200.
Looks great, I would take the Epox or MSI nForce3 board over the Gigabyte though.

Agreed, Gigabyte warranty is horrible, and my friend had a very negative experience with that Gigabyte board. Get the EPOX instead.

My epox board hasn't given me any problems, even when everything else in my system has.
