Ok since i'm surprised that no one yet touched this subject i'll start..

i noticed that with the new 71.89 drivers the performance for my 6800GT in BIA has increased significantly wether its single or SLI.

the surprise here comes from the single 6800GT vs X800XT-PE's performance which increased for about 62% !! & before anyone looks at my system in sig & say that the GT is coupled with a faster CPU let me tell you that i had a similar bad performance in the older drivers (71.84). so i believe the CPU has nothing to do with this issue & in best cases only a little difference that still dont justify the performance difference .

anyway enough talk & lets see some numbers :
system specs are in sig (PC1,PC3), ATI 5.4 drivers , nVIDIA 71.89 drivers , 1600x1200,0xAA,16xAF(Q),Catalyst AI enabled . all in-game settings maxed , but HDR(soft lighting) is disabled.

i benchmarked the first scene right from the place where airplanes shows up until you hit the ground & stopped it right after "saving progress" sign disappered.

well i know that BIA is a console port for XBOX with nVIDIA's hardware , but the performance difference is so great that makes you wonder if the game was really optimized for ATi users.
anyway before giving any judgments .. i'd like to see some performance numbers from any other X800XT or X850 owners with high-end CPUs to confirm this because its really hard for me to believe that a single stock 6800GT can beat a X800XT-PE in such simple DX8 game heh ..

(you may bench as i did above & make sure 16xAF is used)

thanks .. that looks kinda close to my benchie.
what drivers were you using ? & have you made sure 16xAF was forced from CP &/or from in-game ?

I'm using the 5.1 drivers, and I set 16x AF in the game.

Is BIA an OGL game because those scores are really...wowish. GTs putting a bitch-down on the XTPE. I thought it only did that in D3.

AFAIK its DX8 ... & yeah when you play the game yourself you'll feel the difference !

I think BIA has HDR... if so I don't think its an OGL game...

Maybe uses some SM3.0 features to increase FPS?

Yeah, I had that experience, too. The 6600GT of my friend is nearly as fast @ 1024x768, 8:1AF as the X800XT is @ 1024x768 without AF. And yes, I'm talking about a 6600GT.

I thought it was an unreal based game engine?

Its a modified unrealengine, with some dx8 (9 for hdr/bloom?) stuff.
