Do you mean thermal paste or thermal grease? If you want to replace your heatsing fan down the road, you may not be so lucky if you use thermal paste/epxy. Thermal grease, a.ka. Arctic Silver 3, would make changing the heatsink and fan much easier. Removal of the heatsink and fan may not even be possible if paste/epoxy is used.

If I read the post wrong, please forgive me. I'm assuming paste is the same as epoxy. Just didn't want you to make a possibly irreversible mistake.

Thermal grease is the stuff you want.

Most people use the terms thermal paste and thermal grease interchangeably, but they're very different. Paste has an adhesive and is for situations where whatever you're attaching has no clamp mechanism, and grease is for situations where you do have a clamp.

But Arctic Alumina is out, and people say it's better than AS3. :p
