Hi
Next week Ill be upgrading this old computer with some new parts.
I have orderd an Amd 2400+ (boxed with cooler), 512mb 333mhz ddr mem and a gigabyte 7va kt400 mobo

From what I have red allover it should be quite easy to OC with these mobos and cpus and I wonderd if I then need to buy a better fan.
Ive been unable to find info on these boxed coolers, not even a picture :(

Im not aiming to OC the first thing i do, but it would be nice to know if I need to buy some other parts.

I just cant wait to get rid of this old amd k6-2 475mhz :D

Yeah it sure is, I was just looking at it at a swedish site (www.kylning.com) ... since Im from sweden.
hehe it glows ... but my new case dosent have a window :(

Its alot more expencive than the other coolers I saw ... does that mean that I would pay alot for the glowing fan or does it do a good job as a cooler ?
how´s the noise level on the volcano 9 ? *directed to any owner of that baby*

Thank you very much for the info and headsup guys.
In the store where I have orderd my parts they only sell Boxed versions ... so Ill get that fan no matter what.
I think that Ill order the Volcano 9 and dont bother with the boxed cooler.
Just one more question. Does the volcano coolers come with a thermal pad or do I need to buy that or thermal greese (like arctic silver 3) ?
Fortunatly I have found a swedish site that offer this cooler and arctic silver 3

They come with either a thermal pad or some paste but I would be getting a tube of "Arctic Silver3" takes up to 15c of CPU temps
