I gave it a shot, man were you right. A little Phantasm followed up with Vampire Gaze and battles end quick. This game is so solid and so good looking.
klye knows his guild wars. i would say, after me, he knows the most around:)
ive just been computer-less so i havent played as much lately, but the instatnt my tax return shows up or i get paid, thats gonna change.
Gonna have to work with my necro/mes as he gets his butt kicked too much.

I would have to say that I know GW quite well. Klye, combine that Conjure Phantasm with Crippling Anguish (Elite) and get degen of 8 and they move 50% slower. I love my Mesmer/Elementalist - I think of him as a hyper nuker. He can cast a Meteor Shower in 3 seconds (as opposed to 5), or in 2 seconds if I get the bonus from my offhand. I use him as a nuker too much...
Love my guild!! Master Mordeth is me. If you guys need help in game, or just want to play with a bunch of crazy people, msg me in game.

Pic taken on Monday around lunch time - we usually have lots of people online from 6PM EST to 3AM EST (about 9 hours?). People are from as far away as Guam and Austrailia.

sweet...thanks for the tip. :)
I haven't bothered joining a Guild yet. I'm assuming they become more necessary once you've beaten most of the game and want to mess around with pvp and gvg more.

Me either, though I like to play later at night, so if i joined a guild most wouldnt be on anyway, so I must find a korean or australian guild!
So what are some of the prof combinations you would recommend for my 2nd char? I have only used my w/r thus far. It would have been smarter I'm assuming to start out with w/mo but oh well, I didn't read into it a lot before starting the game. w/r isn't too bad because I like having a pet however at level 19 I haven't found much to do with my Ranger skills.

My vote would be for Ranger/Monk. You are already somewhat familiar with some of the Ranger skills. It would allow you to learn some Monk skills without straying too far from what you already are familiar with. If you are wanting to get into something totally crazy, try Ranger/Mesmer, the ultimate interrupter. I will go out on a limb and say you will never have as much fun as being an interrupter, or unstoppable trapper.
With the Ranger/Mesmer combo, you can use Mantra of Resolve to keep you from being interrupted when trapping. You won't get MoR until late in the game, but you'll love it when you do. It's so fun running up behind people (in PvP) or monsters and trapping away while they can do nothing about it:D

What is later at night? We have an Aussie in our guild, and he's usually on at the same time we are. He's usually having lunch when it's like 11PM here, but we don't mind. Like I said in an earlier post, we have guild members and guild friends from all across the globe. I don't believe that you "must" find a Korean or Austrailian guild. Best of luck in your hunt :D

W/R can be quite interesting, more interesting then most of the typical wammos.I may even try changing my secondary Monk to Ranger when I get bored with my war sometime in the future.
I suppose you already use Troll Unguent that is a strong HP regen.
Try this, use a quick axe and the sweet "Apply Poison" from your ranger skills use it before engaging each group that way you have your enemies on either HP degen (poison) or deep wound or both! (yummy), pretty effective in PvE... in fact its a killer.W/R can double as a good Droknar runner too.Pets cannot help a high level warrior that much imo.
About second character, I made a fire elementalist after seeing how much fun zoomy was having with his fire ele and I dont regret that decision (thanks for the inspiration zoomy). After you had earned all your skills you just need to take a break from playing your fire ele once in a while to prevent feeling like a Damage Dealer bot! :D
E/Me for dodging interrupts while being able to equip more Glyphs and Triple or even Quad MS if you ever want to try it.("Quad anything" has a nice buzz ring to it nowadays with all the talk about Quad Core CPUs/Quad SLI and now Quad MS. :b )

I just played for about an hour and a half and I honestly forgot how fun this game is. I was playing my Ranger/Elementalist and while I'm still lacking any really solid Elementalist skills, it was still pretty fun to use varying combos of the ranger skills I have.
I have to admit: level 20 henchmen KICK ASS. I just went out into Talus Chute and was beating up on pretty much everything that came my way. It was decent XP, too. :D

Any way to get to the town of Beacon's Perch quickly? The screens and comments about how cool the town is are making me all antsy to get there. I'm new, at Ruins of Ascalon, level 6 and still still working on the Northern Wall mission. I'm afraid I'll have to go through several days of playing before I can see Beacon's Perch. I haven't ventured out of Ascalon ruins much so hopefully the town is close by? Or to get to any city in the whole game quickly?

BP is pretty damn far. You're either going to have to do the missions that take you there (and I honeslty can't remember if there are any, or if it's just one of those little outposts on the way to some place bigger) or have someone rush you there. If I can recall correctly...it's nothing special.
Yak's Bend is much bigger and Droknar's Forge is where it's at. I love Drok's so much.
Beacon's Perch is really early in the game, at the end of the mountains. You get there after one of the north shiverpeak's missions. People don't hang out there cause it's cool, there's just a lot of people there because thats where you get the run to droks from. Droks is where you can get some good armor.
All the cool people hang out in Marhan's Grotto though. :D

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. I hate Yak's Bend so much. Like, it's a cool town (looks-wise at least), but the quests are such crap. The areas outside of town are far too hard for the level you are when you arrive (around 10-12) and by the time you can really do the quests without much problem, the XP isn't worth it. This time through, with my Necro/Mesmer, I just decided to pretty much skip that whole area. I gotta get a run to Drok's though. My brother can do it, he just hasn't had time, and I honestly haven't played the game in like a month anyway, so it's not that big a deal.

Where's that at?
South of the Thunderhead Keep mission. It's one of the 15k armor towns, probably the hardest to get to. Granite citadel is the other one, that's north east of Deldrimor War Camp.

That map was compiled before the Sorrow's Furnace addition came about, but the Deldrimor War Camp (south of Sorrow's Furnace) is located in that blank space south west of Granite Citadel.
EDIT: Here's all the maps (http://www.theamazonbasin.com/gw/files/).
