Any of you in a decent Guild that is looking for new members? I've been playing at least every other night for the past couple weeks and will probably continue to do so for a while considering I am still on my first character.

oh my god, i just played the temple of kings tonight.. freakin blast!! gad, i am glad i have my laptop finally:) and theres nothing sweeter than guild wars in widescreen:)

holy crap. i hadnt played this game in a loooong time, and i forgot how much fun it is. there is nothing like being a fire-breathing badass of an ele. and using my fast cast smite monk is great too. so much love for killing baddies. good good good good good times.

hey, i just bought some new armor for my mez smite monk.. it says Energy Recovery +1. what does that mean? ive been playing this game for ages, but my ele and necro dont have anything like this.

I think it makes your energy recharge one faster.

I was on with some friends ths past weekend, what a blast. We finally got everyone on TeamSpeak and it really sped things up. We all started new toons and before you knew it we were all pushing on lvl 5-6. My Necro/Mes is a joy to play, pull aggro with Phantasm, whack with Vampiric Touch when they get in close and raise their corpse to fight their pals.

Anyone else noticed that if you remain at login screen GW downloads almost 250MB worth of updates?this happened after the last update(March).

But intersting thing is that everything works AOK in game I wonder if that ~250MB update was related to the balance changes they made then why is it that I could play with all my characters with no extra in game downloads when switching maps considering that I did not let the download finish and logged in.Makes you think they are preloading something even bigger, preparations for Factions perhaps?

Anyway I say GW's so claimed streaming update method is working rather cute.

It's been updating at the login screen since I first got the game (mid Feb) and usually it downloads at least a couple files here and there while loading areas even though I've already been to them. Not sure why but I don't really care either considering it works so great. Too bad steam wasn't as friendly.

You're right it has always done that updating at login screen but I was surprised that this time it did a 250MBer.

If you want to hear about huge updates check out CoH they had a 1.6GB patch once with one of their free content updates wich was related to improvements they did to the graphics engineI guess.

After midterms are done on Friday and I get back to my apartment on Saturday evening after going home for a free meal and free laundry (parents ftw!!1!), I plan on spending a large chunk of my 10 days of spring break in this game.

I was at Best Buy earlier and almost picked up the $10 preorder of Factions. It came with some exclusive in-game items (probably nothing all that great) plus some other cool stuff (I can't really remember what, but it definitely seemed like it was worth the money), plus, keys for you and a friend to get into beta events as well as a free trial key to give to someone else for the first game (or you if you haven't played the first game) and the ability to start playing a day before the in-store release of the game, which I thought was pretty cool.

My brother was telling me this last update they had nerfed EVERYTHING. And made farming gryphons next to impossible. He wasn't happy with the game at all.

Holy crap...you guys weren't kidding about this update being enormous. I've had the GW client open since I posted the last message and it's already downloaded like 30 MB before the program opened, and now, on the login screen, it' up to 256MB! This is crazy!

EDIT: Wow...380MB and going.

That little Z or lightning bolt + the MB amount IS an indicator of downloading, right? I've noticed that in the game for some time now and always just figured that thing was downloading the patches and whatnot.

EDIT 2: Good lord! 545MB. How big is this?!

It's preloading all of factions, so it's safe to assume that it's pretty dang huge!

I think one of the effects the latest skill balance changes had was trying to make other builds and professions match in effectiveness with b/p ranger groups entering Tombs UW .PyroNuker and Warrior skills mostly been boosted imo.Rodgort's Invocation fries them extra crispy now.

Recently its been all about barrage/pet rangers + one MM and/or a Monk groups forming up to go get their, incresingly getting cheaper in price, green drops.You needed to wait alot to get yourself in a team if you were not a b/p (before update). Seems like b/p is the fastest way to do it.I wanted a bigger slice too so I made myself a R/Me he's been a 20 with a 19 pet since divinity coast mission, still a long way to go for him.

EDIT:imo green drops are getting less and less exciting unless you get a Victo Shield, but the challenge in hoh is still there and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finish it, even when you get no drops.
