I love nightfall...
The more I play it, the more I realize how boring was Factions.

For the moment, I didn't create any new character based on one of the new professions, I'm just bringing my old characters to Elona.

YEs mesmers Rocks... thats my favorite char too. I simply like the way the can control magicians ,and steal energy or disable other professions abilities. I was Warrior/ME in prophecies and discovered later that even with all my elite Wskills ,i could kill foes a lot more faster by using my second profession than my first one.and that was using non elite. lol. However havent seen many Mesmers in Big tournaments .most people think Elementals are the more powerfull characters of all.

Nightfall is my first Guild Wars game no matter what Anet says without a prior knowlage of Guild Wars you gonna have a hard time getting things done... therefore ive decided to start with Prophocies.. good idea?

yeah, the first one is by far the easiest way to get into the game. its got a slow progression of skills and lets you get the hang of the game over time. once you get dfone with the first area around Ascalon, youll be set. then you have like 91% of the game left to do:) its great.

god, i miss this game so badly. theres gotta be an AGP card out there for me:)

so should i bring my already created Dervish or should i just create a new one?
(i tried it with my derv and right away i get to face lvl 11 mobs)

if i bring derv i will get new skills for that char right? and extra storage space?

lol its ok. yes thats what i meant, but some of the people at the GW Guru said i shouldnt bring my derv but i need the new inturruption skills just made for Proph :)

I got the 14-day trial from a friend and it's really pissing me off. After 5 minutes of play, the sound gives out and all that comes out of my speakers is this incredibly high-pitched noise.

I can't play MP3s or do anything sound-related until I restart. It's happened twice now and it's only happened in this game, so it's got to be the game and I'm not even going to bother with it anymore until they fix it. :mad:

EDIT: Could it be because both of my GTSs and the X-Fi are all on IRQ 16? But I don't think it can be because it's never been a problem elsewhere. Grrr...I really want to play! It looks awesome and from the little bit I've played, the Dervish is AWESOME. :(

Klye i think the full game should fix all those issues with in game updates.. i love its update system... if you can buy it i say invest money on nightfall awesome game!! i'm addicted to farming for Scythes now (thats the Dervish weapon) its just beautiful! :D

I really don't know if I trust it and I don't want to spend $50 on a game that continually screws up my sound. :o

Plus, WoW is taking care of all my MMO needs currently... :p

Ive been trying to get the deathbringer.. no luck though, killed the thing over 100+ times and it wont drop. Maybe we can get together and go farm it?

And also...there isn't a difference between the trial and the full-game. It's the exact same game and the exact same files along with all updates...it has to be because there's only one server to log into (I know it's more than a single box, but it's not like WoW)...getting the full-version isn't going to fix anything, it'll just let me play more than a total of 10 hours in 14 days. :(

well, i started playing Guild Wars again this weekend. holy hell, i forgot how much fun it was. its a blast. i was burning guys and helping out some low levels buddies of mine while i got back into the swing of it
