Friggen selfish W/M's!! I've just about had it with those chodes. They join the group, but then run off alone and use the rest of the group for fodder, while they go and blitz to finish off all their quest points, shafting the rest of the group.

i have an item dropped by the Char that someone gave me ,, it says.



THe thing is that i dont know how to use that.. to "improve swordmanship" perhaps this is a hidden skill ?

if i use the salvage kit as the item suggest , the only thing i get is crafting material like Iron ,cloth. etc..

Interestingly used the identification kit , in anon indetified item this time. found by me ,with similar intructions.. and a window appeared with anew never seen SKill .. asking me to accept... by accident declined..: and never saw again the skill.. :( all this happened by just using the identification kit.

THen i used the salvage kit to see if i could recover the new skill again. And all i got was a crappy piece of cloth.. :thumbdwn:

So i will like to know how this works because it looks that you also can get SKills from items. it will be very nice if someone can help me with this. :)


Using a normal salvage kit will yeild you nothing. Using an Expert Salvage kit would probabley have gotten you an Minor Rune of Swordmanship. And yes they are post-searing. And no you can't get skills from items. Those are learned/bought.

have unlocked more SKills using the identification kit.. Someone also told me the those items are to be used post searing with the EXPERT kit and have a chance to get a RUne.. :D

however im curious about why some crafting items have their names writen in purple colors and others in white.. looks like there is a purpose for that.

in another note.. Reading in FOrums heard about a special Skill that you can use to "steal " and learn the enemy foes skill.. it takes a couple of seconds and both you and the foe need to be alive until the skill is captured..Looks like an aswesome skills.. looking to get my hands on it.. if anyone knows where to find it.. drop me a hint.

The "higher" the color the better results it wll yeild from a salvage. White is your basic common, blue is your uncommon, purple is your rare, and gold is super-rare.

well, i usually HATE mmorpg's.. but this game is really fun. another "hater" and i bought it and we are both loving.

I found a purple item last night, but it was only for spellcasters. Ah well. I got 30g for it.

This game gets hard. I'm level 8 and trying to do a quest in the Breach where everything is level 8+. It's ridiculous.

I'd really like to play with some people, but I hate just random connections becuase I seem to always get screwed.

Anyone going to be around this weekend and up for playing some?

I've given up on this game.. Well, I had a weekend of just grouping with a buch of a$$hats.. (people seem to get more arrogent the higher up you go, either that or just more people are playing the game now)


I'm taking a break from online gaming in general actually.. The whole online stuff is sometimes overhyped.. There's alot of people that I don't want to play with.. sometimes it seems like they are the majority. :thumbdwn:

I'm Clavius Biggerstaff (heh heh, the last name is actually the last name of an ear/nose/thoat doctor of one of my co-workers...cracks me up). I'm a W/E 9 and getting my butt kicked lately in some of the tougher post searing quests. :D

Get used to that one conservation Glyph [reduces your next spells cost by 15 mana]. It's the only way you'll be able to play an effective elem.

Will probably make more characters later on to test different combos, I really love that aspect. It's so much like D2+. I still don't see how people think this game is a MMORPG though, Its not static at all, only the towns/lobbies are.

EDIT:
Anyone able to tell me how to set weapon sets? I juggle between a bow, sword and axe, would love to have it all hotkeyed.

Go into your character screen. Somewhere in there you should have the ability to check the weapons sets checkboxes. F1-F4 controls your weapons sets after they've been enabled.

It's a feature I really wish WoW had. I hate switching out my sword for a fishing pole every time.

You hit F2 for example and it changes your character screen to the F2 versions [look at the weapon slots]. Your current weapons will unequip and you can put whatever you want in the newly freed slots. Once you're done you can toggle between them.

damn it! So you're telling me I'm stuck with only 25 energy unless I get some sort of boost (morale for example) or have on equipment that gives me a bonus?

Anyway... only other way to get more energy with ranger is to get the druids armor.... it has the normal +30 vs elemental but doesn't have an additional +15 vs a specific element... but it does give you extra energy... don't remember how much though.

Don't expect Ranger to nuke as much as real Elementalist (can have man over 80) , secondary profession is just supplementary ,example you cant be a Mage/Warrior and go tanking and nukeing <- (paper armor) ;)
