Yeah, well that TNT don't work at all as a cooler. I bolted my NV5 to my GF 6800 and it fried both cards. Didn't seem to matter how much thermal paste I used. What a waste. :thumbdwn:

LOL,

I still got my Leadtek Winfast TNT2 card sitting in my closet. I just cant seem to throw something I paid $200.00 for away.

I've still got a TNT2 Ultra 32 meg that I paid $163 still in use, albeit in "her" machine.

I also have a Geforce2 Ti 64 meg(reference board) and a Geforce4 Ti 4200 128 meg waiting for new homes.

It's sad how hardware can accumulate.

I still got all my old video cards ... my favorite old card (because its so old school) is a Matrox 3D (or something close to that) that even has a daughter card you hook into another PCI slot .. lol. Got some old TNT 8mb laying around too somewhere that is 8mb from an added 4mb chip that you could slide into a slot on the card. I have 3 working computers just off old stuff alone that I use for linux experimenting and other fun junk. My 2nd computer in command I use to host gaming servers because it was my old gaming machine and can still pull its weight pretty nice :)

But does it not bother anyone else that they call it NV5 when that's the codename for TNT2. I can't help myself, I'm such a geek that I think of GPU code name. :p

Why didn't they just call it the Nvidia Dust Buster II :D

I have a pny 32mb mx200 pci around here, twas my first gaming card...back in ol 2001, served me for a while, then I made the big upgrade in 02 to the mx400 64mb tnt card which served me well for a while, because I was stuck with a 1600+ system that only had pci slots, before I realized agp was so much better. (Yea got into pc gaming 4 years ago, but look at the difference in systems now that I know better (owned pc's since 97 just didnt become a pc gamer till 01) :D )
