The Dover, Pennsylvania school board recently adopted a policy requiring that high school science teachers teaching evolution tell their students that evolutionary theory, a theory that has been shown to explain the origins of life time and time again, is flawed, and that intelligent design is a valid alternative.

You want an example of christians forcing their beliefs down others throats? This is it. Get your religious crap out of my sons science class! You don't see atheists forcing sunday school teachers to teach evolution in their classes do you?

Hicks. Bunch of hicks. I'd seriously support a move for California to segregate from the Union at this point.

Yea, but you see atheist forcing evolution as the ONLY solution to creation in the classroom. In fact, the ACLU (Anti-Christ Liberal Union) sued a school system in Georgia for placing a disclaimer in books saying that there could be a possiblity of another theory instead of evolution. That is forcing a belief down the throat of someone that don't embrace that hogwash.
If the atheist are so ticked at it, why not do what Christians do all the time: When the kids get home after a day of learning how the Big Bang Theory is true, de-program your child to think the way you want him to think.

What is wrong with the children been told it is not the only valid theory?

Yes, in the SCIENCE classroom. Evolution is the strongest scientific theory to explain all forms of life, it SHOULD be taught in the science class. Creationism is not science and should remain in the religious studies class. The whole stickers on the books thing was just an attempt to discredit a valid theory. You would feel the same way if atheist had demanded that stickers be put on the covers of Bibles.
The problem here is that they claim "Evolution is flawed" when there is no evidence that it is, and that they seek to replace a valid science theory, with an unscientific one that supports their religious beliefs, and teach it to kids as valid science.
Intelligent Design is just a more PC version of creationism. Its just an attempt to remove evolution from the class rooms. Why? No creationist has ever looked at evolution with an open mind. They have already decided not to agree with it before they even pick up a book. They act all mature and logical about it, but whats really going on is that they just want to censor any aspect of science that doesn't agree with their own literal interpretation of their holy books. I may aswell be sending my son to school in Iran.
What is wrong with the children been told it is not the only valid theory?
Nothing, but they are being told, in a SCIENCE class, that evolution is FALSE and that Creationism is the valid scientific explaination of world.

They are not been told it is false, from what you quoted directly from the article they are been told that the theory has flaws and that it is not the only theory to explain life.
Here we go again. Another "Christians are forcing their belief on me. I'm a victim oh boo hoo." DAMN THEM CHRISTIANS! DAMN THEM ALL!
LMAO! you atheists are getting funnier and funnier everyday. Oh wait, that isn't funny, it's a pain in my side from your arrogance.
What is wrong with the children been told it is not the only valid theory?
SHUT UP! AND DRINK THE KOOLAID KID!

You mean he is OVER-REACTING!? Say it ain't so my pastey white brotha! SAY IT AIN'T SOOOOOOOOOOOO!

You guys already did that in public schools. You also just try to get anything religious that is public ILLEGAL through the courts. You on real shakey ground with this one. In fact you have no ground because I can bring up court case after court case that is trying to force Christians to stay in their churches and even make parts of the bible illegal by virtue of calling it hate speech. You have a sentence that says evolution if flawed. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOEEEESSS!

You gave yourself your own answer, bud. It's a theory. Creation should be offered also, as another theory. Atheists are (and have been for a long time) trying to tell us that God and Science are mutually exclusive..that's not the case, and for a PA school system to stand up and say they will not take it anymore, I applaud them.
The problem here is that they claim "Evolution is flawed" when there is no evidence that it is, and that they seek to replace a valid science theory, with an unscientific one that supports their religious beliefs, and teach it to kids as valid science.
Uhmm...again, "Evolution is flawed". If it was not, it would not be a theory, but a documented fact.

Sorry you feel this way. More than 80% of the US embraces some sort of Creationism view (Belief in God), and for you to say that we can not teach our children this in the classroom, is really asinine and naive.

I don't think this would bother atheists so much as it would bother biology teachers.

Do Sunday Schools have compulsary attendance, where agreeing with and fully understanding what you are geing taught is a requirement by force of law? Do Sunday Schools take tax money for the sole purpose of telling children what is true?
Is Macro Evolution a proven thing?
If the asnwer to both are no, then what is wrong with giving students more information and allowing them to decide for themselves, or is Pro-Choice only something that is allowed when you agree with the choices?

To be honest, a theory is much more concrete than a moral position like being pro-choice. A theory is not taken lightly in the scientific community.

Very true, yet the current system does not allow competing theories...

End public education and you end the whole controversey. I wonder if private schools would be up to taking the huge excess of students that would create. Probably not now but in time maybe.

Exactly! Why do you think they made you swish with floride at school? Do you really think it was for our dental good? Oh no my friend. That was guvmnt' koolaid to keep us in line with big brother.
Why do you think they made up this whole "A.D.D." thing? Those are kids who refuse to swish with the "floride" and saw the truth. Once the big brother found out they had to use "alternative" means to keep the younger populus under control. They make them take a pill to control behavior. Then they just say the kids are "hyper active". Oh yea but we know the truth and the truth will live on not matter how much you try to suppress it. You can't keep us down. YOU HEAR ME MR. MAN?!

Creationism is NOT a scientific theory.
Is Macro Evolution a proven thing?
Is the story of genesis a proven thing? NO. Evolution has a lot more scientific evidence to support it than genesis does. Evolution belongs in the science class, genesis does not.

Creationism is NOT a scientific theory.
Says who? Creationism is just as much a theory (in some peoples eyes) as evolution--if not more.
Anyways, looks like the PA schools system disagree with you....
