Well, the doldrums are over. I found Forceware 72.03, and put them up for download at my site.

I had to make up an inf, so some credit goes to Pieter for his part of the inf. :p

Installed it this morning, runs as it should, and has excellent IQ.

No SLI fix.

I'm guessing this driver is from the laptop line?

SLi works fine for me. What "fix" were you hoping for?

SLI screen "jittering" on LCD monitors via DVI output at certain resolutions.

A fixed driver was made, but it's not out in the hands of the general public yet.

It would because it only affects the 6800 line.

i was thinking about why people spend 600 dollar for the best gpu avaible
and i was thinking why they do if then they play usually only 5 or 6 games at max before new ones go out that will force them to low resolution
then is like pay 600 dollars for play 300 dollars of game at max

the answer to this amlethic doubt has been that people buy new gpu coz of try new beta driver any week :D :D :D eheh

Of course. I look for driver leaks and betas so I can mod them so I can look for more drivers.

I hardly ever use games anymore except to test drivers.

Which reminds me, when the heck is Valve gonna fix CS: Stress??

Why did you have to put Coolbits 2 in the set?

JRd1st
05-03-05, 08:40 AM
I didn't, I used part of one of Pieter's infs and that had it, so . . .

If you want less, more, or no coolbits, use nVTweak to fix it.

I think I'll stick with the most stable drivers for my rig. The good old 67.66 drivers. Still haven't seen a better driver from nvidia since 67.66.

67.66 is indeed a great driver, but I switched to 76.44 for way better game performance. Do these 72.03's have the temp bug btw or are they alot more fast than 76.44 to kind of justufy that ?

Anything dated after mid-March does not have the temperature bug. As you can see from the title, these are dated the 25th April.

I can fix the temp bug by increasing the clock for my 2d in rivatuner...I DO like these. What's so hard to believe? The image quality is the best I've seen and I've tried every driver there is.

GPU is @ 56C, ambient 39C...that's fine. Oh, and let's not forget the unstable character of the 76.xx drivers, not to mention sound popping issues etc.
