Hi

Short Question: Does the Zalman VF700- CU fit on a PCIe 6800 Ultra?

I used to have one on my 6800 Ultra AGP, it was perfect! But on the box it says that it`s not compatible with NVida PCX (PCIe??!?) cards!? (Perhaps because of the little Bridge-Chip under the GPU?

Thanx :-)

Wow, I'm glad you pointed this out. I'm in the same situation as you and didn't even know it. I was going to remove the heatsink from my ultra pci-e and try this weekend.

Therefore, I wanna know too!

Well the PCIe card does not have a bridge chip.. only the newer AGP ones do...

Hmmm.. thats really weird, I know plenty of people who have used this on the PCIe cards...

i think those are PCIX, they are the NV30 cards

look on the website, the 6800's arent on the incompatible list

Really?? Hmmm... I thought all the AGP cards were PCIe, with a bridge chip? Or is that only for the 6600 cards?

6600 cards are native PCI-E and require the bridge to work with AGP. 6800 cards are the opposite, native AGP and require a bridge for PCI-E.
