Can someone list the Intel prossesors from oldest to the newest types? are the Intel Celeron D prossesors good? Also can someone list the AMD prossesors in order from oldest to newest types? im asking cause im wanting a new prossesor. I can buy a Intel, cause i have an Intel mobo and I have an AMD mobo(using now) and i want to upgrade from my 1.5 but i dont want to go over $80. Can someone give me so info? Here are links to an AMD and Intel prossesor that im watching and thinking about getting. Which do you think the better buy is? the AMD or Intel?

The Celeron D 2.8ghz is not bad... they upgraded the cache to 256k and the fsb to a 533... but i would really recommend a least a pentium 4 or AthlonXP(not sempr0n)

Ok iv looked at the AMD XP's and found a 1.9,but is it really worth getting just to upgrade from a 1.5? my vote is still on the celeron D. If anyone has some info, can you show me the stats on the Celeron D im watching and the AMD sempron and the AMD XP? Im still debating on which is better? which one do you think performs the best?

Here is the AMD XP= http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103417

Here is the AMD sempron= http://www2.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819104205

I wouldn't recommend the P4 for gaming. I've had mine for two years and I've been disappointed with it. I'd like to buy another computer in the near future. It will definitely have an AMD a64 in it. The A64 toasts the P4 in gaming.

Celeron Ms kick ass. 1.3GHz and 1MB L2 cache...that's probably as good as an Athlon XP 2600+ and if you OC it to 1.6GHz+...that's ridiculous.

Forget the Celeron D. Even with the added cache it`s a horrible crippled CPU and definatly not a good choice.
