HELP! I am looking at upgrading to either a 6800nu or a 6600gt agp from my Hercules Geforce 2 Prophet Pro GTS II. Which of the two GPU's will give me the bigest bang for my buck.

6800NU, just make sure the rest of your system and power supply can handle it. What type of machine are you going to be putting the card in?

It is a 2.533 GHz @ 2.953 |Soyo Dragon P4X400 Platinum Editon| 580W Power Supply| AGP 8x/4x/Pro| Hercules Digifire 7.1 Surround| 2 X 120 Gig Maxtor 7200rpm RAID 0| 1 Gig PC 3200 Kingston Value Ram w/heatspreader|
If that is not enough Info let me know.

Get the 6800nu. That is plenty powerful

You should pay the little bit extra (NewEgg is having a huge sale on eVGA products) and get the GT. It's definitely worth it.

Will the 6800GT Provide me any benefit over the AGP bus or will the 6800nu max out the bandwidth of the bus?

What size is your monitor?

If you have a 17" screen, are you planning on upgrading it too?

If you only have a 17" screen with no plans to upgrade it too, the 6800 might be a good buy, but the 6600GT is also a good buy.

Defintely the 6800nu. If you're lucky, you'll be able to unlock the extra pipelines too.

Easily. Go with the 6800GT if you can, the 6800NU if you can't. The 6800GT has 16 pipelines of lovin' vs the NU's 12. Makes a big difference on the more GPU demanding games.
