It is AGP... Did they make 9800pro's in other formats?

LMK if you can pull together the funds.

They make them in AGP and PCI-E. I can only use AGP. i dont have a PCI-E video campadible mobo. ill see if i can. my dad is looking to get a 6600GT cause it has higher speeds than the 9800pro,ut im trying to tell him i dont need the best my card is clocked at 250/513 and a 9800pro is clocked at 380/680. But i wouldnt mind having the 6600Gt clocked at 500/1000. that would be awesome. i found a 6600gt for $154 they are sold out. nice deal for the 9800pro though

You should keep in mind that clock speed ain't everything. Yeah obviously higher is better, but for instance 6600GT's clock higher than 6800GT's yet the 6800GT is about double the raw speed. Make sure you look into the number of texture pipes and vertex shaders as well... (i totally forgot the # of pipes on the ti 4200, i don't even remember if it has vertex shaders...)

EDIT: UPDATE! I added a new section for my extra heatsinks and fans.

J-Mag

I believe it is EIDE = Ultra ATA... It is at home right now though, so I will confirm later.

I appreciate it, thanks. That'd be a perfect drive to just have Windows on.

Yep, the 6600gt has 8 pipes, the 6800gt has 16 pipes, and the raw speed is better on the 6800gt but i aint got $350+ to buy one with. My 4200 has 4 pipes and a low vertex shader.
