Hey all, I'm just curious, do you know what acceptable temps are for a 5700ultra? According to coolbits my card gets up to around 90c in 3d mode. I often have bluescreens in both 2d and 3d mode, average temps are 75 degrees C, and i'm not sure if the bluescreens are related to the card or not.

Oh and mods, please move this to the correct forum, i tried to delete and recreate, but it wouldn't let me.

I just noticed it's topping 100c while playing UT2004. Even when i underclock.

My XFX 5700U reached low 80s C under the most heavy gaming, idling at 35C with a room temp around 28-33C.

What's your room temperature?
You may have bad heatsink contact.

That sounds awful hot, my 5950 Ultra doesn't even get near that hot. Sounds like your heatsink may be bad or your fan on it or both. Something definately isn't right.

Ya, my old 5900Ultra only got like 45c in windows, and 60c loaded up.

haha, hardly, i ordered a refurbished 6600GT for 144.20 including shipping. The temps of the new 6600 are HALF of what my 5700 was (40C idle, 50-60C under load)

Not to mention the nice little speed boost i got (WoW is now playable at 1280x1024 4xFSAA on my somewhat old system. (athlon xp 2100+, 1 gb pc133 sdram)
