I purchased the mac version of Quake II many many years ago, but I want to play that baby in windows. Of course, Id is really nice with having crossplatform data packs but relying on executables specific to an operating system (duh). Can anyone help me out with finding where I can download such a thing? If you have your windows version, you can PM me and we can set something up.

I did the same thing for Quake I, but the Quake II binaries are a bit harder to come by.

well if you happen to have ms visual C++ 6.0 and above you could d/l the source and compile it your self heh.

Someone even ported it to .net

edit

Also, the patches probly include full binarys, so try getting the most recent patch, extracting it, copying the paks and seeing what your missing.

Yeah, I just found out that the patch doesn't need the original binary. Thanks for the help. :) I downloaded it and now it works perfectly.
